Martina Kawome is a Zimbabwean-qualified ophthalmologist. She works at Sally Mugabe Central Hospital in Harare as a general ophthalmologist. She is interested in the retina and setting up a medical ophthalmology subspecialty. She has studied at various universities including the University of Arrupe where she got a diploma in Spirituality, the University of South Wales where she got a diploma in Public Health and the University Of Zimbabwe. She is a cofounder of Rare Disease Zimbabwe which offers care to people with rare diseases. She sits on several boards among which are the Mutemwa Leprosy Centre Board, Archdiocese of Harare Medical Board and COESCA.
